this debate has been going on for the last 40 years or so, and yet it is not been resolved. and this may not be the last word on the subject. at least it is definite that the child with severe bronchiolitis has a higher risk of asthma, that was what we were taught 40 years ago, resulting from non reversible changes in the bronchial tree. now it will be the genes, that is a change!
